Description

This must-have accessory for the new Cabin Lodge tent, will increase your tent’s living space by 44% (based on 12x12 Cabin Lodge Tent). Attach just the roof to use as an awning or combine with the side walls to create an 8x8 ft. attached room. The roof and side walls are made with Hydra-Shield™ 100% cotton canvas. Included are six large windows with no-see-um mesh. The windows can be zipped open or shut. A zippered entry provides convenient access. A poly, sod-cloth trim helps seal the bottom perimeter. Package includes roof, side walls, frame, stakes, guy ropes and carry bag.

You can attach 1 of the 1672 to model 6170 (12x12 Cabin Lodge Tent - sold separately).

You can attach up to 2 of the 1672 to model 6116 (12x16 Cabin Lodge Tent - sold separately).

Please note: without either the 6170 or 6116 tent, this accessory is of no use.

12×12 lodge tent and awning

Went camping memorial day in maines north woods on moosehead lake .it rained for 5 days with temps in the 30s!
Not a drop of water in the tent and toasty warm .and the extra space with the enclosure was awesome

Absolutely awesome!!

If you just buy the tent, you will be missing out on this great option! Made our stay extremely comfortable in the north Georgia mountains, particularly during some rain we had while staying there! We moved everything up under the awning and it was perfect. Looking forward to using the sides later on - but we did not need them on this trip. Suggestion: We purchased a 12'x20' tarp to go under our tent and it gave us a flooring under the awning which kept down the tracking of dirt in to our main 12'x12' tent. I highly recommend this!

Nice camp room

Set this up in our yard for a week in northern AZ. We can count on at least one day a week of strong gusty winds. The screen room held up great. We use a roof top tent on a trailer I built so this will become our living room when we're out in the boonies.

Only one flaw in design

I live in Utah and I’ve had my 12x9 cabin tent for about 13 years now. I will say it’s by far the best canvas tent for the money at the time I got mine new from Family tent camping. After hundreds of times camping hunting or backyard I’ve been through many rain storm major wind and even heavy snow storms it has never collapsed or leaked from walls or roof.
The only flaw on the tent is the little piece of Velcro holding the canopy to the bottom.
After time it the canvas door will shrink a bit and not fully secure the door down so wind water and snow will blow through it. I’m now having to come up with an idea to sew on buckle straps to keep it low enough that I will not have any more issues with bad weather. I’m even going to sew a new 3” wide full length strip along the bottom. Not sure why this was not done factory but I’m hoping they take my advice and do so for their future inventory.
I gave it 4 stars because of the Velcro.

Worth it!

Awesome tent, high quality materials from the ground tarp to the steel rods. The canvas side walls breathe very well and wick water, totally water proof. There is plenty of space inside for three sleeping cots and a dog. The set up is fast and efficient too, we packed an impact drill and bought lag screws to easily attach the tent to the ground. (This is the first essential step to getting the tent up.) The included tent stakes are high quality too, but our option just makes our set-up and take down faster/easier.

We love it and are packing it up and down across the country.

I love that its a perfect footprint for my 10’x10’ canvas flewbow tent. Its designed to fit just shy of where you would drive the stakes in. Note that the grommets are for hanging it to dry, after use (not to align with tent stakes). Its thicker than most tarps, and allows rain to flow off the roof/walls of tent without pooling from an ill-fitted tarp underneath. Preserves the tent flooring, especially when camping on rocky/rough ground.
